Star Wars Crafts and Activities to Do with Your Kids

Star Wars Crafts and Activities to Do with Your Kids

I’m so excited about these 15 Star Wars Crafts and Activities to do with my kiddos! They’re perfect for Star Wars Day, a birthday party and pretend play! Have some Star Wars fun too!

We are big ole Star Wars nerds over here. I really didn’t become one until after my son got into it.

I  bought him the 5-Minute Star Wars Stories book and that’s when it all happened. We became Star Wars nerds (which is totally awesome). We have done some force-worthy crafts together. Last year, we made a millennium falcon out of a cereal box and cardboard tube. My son is still playing with it today.

We have made cardboard tube light sabers to have our own Star Wars battle. And just last week, we made a X Wing Fighter.

But, today, I wanted to share some other amazing talented bloggers who have joined the Star Wars Lover Club. These crafts and activities are perfect for May the 4th Be With You (Star Wars Day), a Star Wars birthday party, or for Pretend Play!

Have so much fun doing these Star Wars Crafts and Activities and, “May the force be with you!”

Solar System for Preschoolers

Solar System for Preschoolers

Make this Solar System for Preschoolers and have your preschooler take the astronaut on a planet adventure! All it takes is a few items you have laying around the house!

We have been doing Space Week at our house. We took a 3-day break from it (you know, mom life. It happens). But, we continued the out-of-this-world fun yesterday by making an interactive Solar System for Preschoolers! Now, my kiddos get to learn about the solar system and move a little astronaut to each planet as I read a solar system book to them!

My husband said, “That’s a giant astronaut!” I giggled, “Well, if I made it to scale, he’d be a tiny dot.” My daughter keeps calling the astronaut a baby astronaut. So, I think it’s toddler-approved.  It’s just for some learning fun anyway.

Below I’m sharing what I used to make it and how.

Shooting Star Craft – Pom Pom Shooter

Shooting Star Craft – Pom Pom Shooter

Make a Shooting Star Pom Pom Shooter with your preschooler and see how far your stars shoot. It is such a fun craft to make and play with together!

Since there is a solar eclipse happening next month, I decided to have a space week with my little ones!

I thought that if we read books and did activities about space, they would get more excited about the eclipse. So, I developed a space theme to use as a guide for the week. I will make a printable for you to use and put it up once all of the activities have been posted here on the blog.

Today’s agenda is:

  • Read: How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers (affiliate link for your convenience)
  • Sing: I’m a Little Rocket
  • Make: Shooting Star Pom Pom Shooter (DIY below)
  • Play: How far can you shoot your stars?

For other space activity ideas, I made a Pinterest board. If ever an activity doesn’t fit into your schedule, pull from this board to replace it: Preschool Space Theme.
