Description
Since there is a solar eclipse happening next month, I decided to have a space week with my little ones!
I thought that if we read books and did activities about space, they would get more excited about the eclipse. So, I developed a space theme to use as a guide for the week. The format is: Read, Make, Do, Play. Everything we have planned is listed on the FREE Space Week Printable!
See our DIY Solar Eclipse Viewer!
I shared all the activities in one post: 16 Space Activities for Preschoolers to make it easier to follow along and do the space week with your preschooler.
Simply print this printable out, hang it on the fridge or your activity wall, and you and your kiddos can track along the week’s books, crafts and activities!
I have pinned some of the activities that we are using from some blogging friends on a Pinterest Board: Preschool Space Theme (and some that we will do if we finish what’s on our list and want to do more). Whatever activity or craft that we list that doesn’t work for your schedule, pull from the Pinterest board to substitute.
Happy Space Week! I hope you have a space-tastic, out-of-this-world time like we have been having!
Tried the crafts and/or activities? Tag us in a pic on Instagram (@themamaworkshop ). We’d love to see all the space fun you’re having!
Please note: The Mama Workshop is not a credentialed teacher. This is simply an activity to do to supplement your child’s learning.
