Make this 4-Ingredient, Edible Pumpkin Slime with your toddlers. They will have so much fun playing with it! So simple. So fun!
This is the first time we have tried slime at our house. Oh my goodness! I don’t even know why we waited this long to hop on the slime train.
It’s so fun!
I didn’t want to make slime with glue. Well, you know…kiddos and their curiosity. What does this taste like?
So, I made an edible version (well, you don’t want to eat alot of it. It may give you the tummy aches). But, it’s safe to eat a little.
What’s even better is that it only has 4 ingredients. So, it’s easy peasy!
Edible Pumpkin Slime – Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Jello Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 and a 1/4 cup cornstarch
Edible Pumpkin Slime – Directions
Step One. Pour 1/4 cup pudding mix into a bowl.
Step Two. Scoop 1/4 cup canned pumpkin into the bowl.
Step Three. Add 4 tablespoons warm water and mix ingredients together. I used a spoon.
Step Four. Add 1/2 cup of corn starch and keep mixing. It will be sticky. So, still use the spoon.
Step Five. Add 4 more tablespoons of water and mix.
Step Six. Add the remainder of the cornstarch and keep mixing. There will come a point you will need to use your hands. You want the slime to not be sticky but still stretchy. If it gets too dry add a little bit of water. Too sticky add more cornstarch.
My kiddos had a blast with this. My son got his legos and squished them into the slime. He ended up making a mustache and beard for himself.
My daughter kept rolling it and told me she was making a burrito.
The fun possibilities are endless. Let your imagination be your guide. Stick little pumpkin toys in it. Flatten it on an orange plate and press pumpkin seeds in it. You can have your child count the seeds! So, fun.
I’ll have to admit, I tried the slime! It tasted like a pumpkin marshmallow. It also reminded me of those candy circus peanuts. You know those fluffy orange candy that are shaped like peanuts?
Well, I hope you have pumpkin slime fun! We will be storing ours in a plastic baggie, if there is any left after playing.
