Creation Story Activities for Kids

Creation Story Activities for Kids

We love playing while learning at our house. Hands down it is one of our favorite ways to learn! Play makes everything better. Am I right?! Just like that saying, “Bacon makes everything better!” haha.

I really do try to come up with ways to engage my kiddos while learning at home. Especially since we have been home so much lately.

Aside from our regular scheduled lessons (I sound like a newscaster), we have been diving into bible stories.

We just wrapped up doing an Easter lesson that my kiddos had fun with!

When we finished, they asked to keep going. So, to the beginning it is!

If your house is anything like my house, we color ALOT. Like we have papers and papers of doodles. We may have a doodling problem. Send help! Just kidding.

My kids can spend hours doodling and coloring.

So, I thought, “Why not make doodles for them to color that help them learn the Creation Story?” And, of course, adding activities that get them outside, get them moving and get their creative wheels a turnin’.

So, these are the Creation Story activities for kids I came up with for them to do. I hope you  join in on the fun!

10 Absolutely Free Summer Activities for Kids

10 Absolutely Free Summer Activities for Kids

These 10 FREE Summer Activities for Kids take me back to my childhood! You don’t need to go on a vacation to have a memorable summer. These fun things to do during the summer will help save you trips to the store. Yay!

Summer mornings are weird. Sometimes frustrating!

The routine goes out the window. Late nights call for late mornings. Heck! The kids still wake up at the same time no matter what time they went to bed. Lord help us all!

So, what do you do with the kids? They aren’t going to school for 3 months! Aaaaaaaaaggggghhhhh!

I did do a post of 25 Awesome Summer Activities you can pull from. But, what if you forget to plan for those for the week (you forget to draw the summer bucket list cards and go shopping for any supplies you don’t have laying around the house)?

Stuff happens. Life happens. Mom brain happens.

Don’t stress, Mama.

I have made another awesome summer activities list that doesn’t cost anything and doesn’t require a trip to the store. It simply uses what you have already.

Whoo hoo! Am I right?!

Free and simple are the best.

As a kid, we didn’t have much. So, my brother and I had to get creative alot. Especially during the summer time when we were bored out of our heads. But, those games and activities we made up are some of the best memories I have.

So, don’t go thinking, that even though you don’t go on some fancy vacation, your kids are missing out on a fun summer.

No way!

Sure vacations are nice. But, you can make the most memorable summer for your kids with simple things. Just be totally 100% present; and, they will love it!

So, here are the free summer activities for kids:

Summer Activities For Kids

Summer Activities For Kids

I need all the summer activities for kids ideas I can get! So, using this list will help us get through summer with less chaos. There are printables, backyard activities, crafts, watermelon and slime ideas! Fun, fun!

The last school bell has rang for most families. The kids are so excited! It means it’s Saturday everyday for them! Whoo Hoo!

But, are you screaming Whoo Hoo, Mom and Dad?

Maybe.

Maybe not so much. What the heck do you do with your kiddos so they don’t turn into those creatures from Where the Wild Things Are?

I mean, when my kids are cooped up in the house all day, a wild ruckus does begin. Fights happen. I hear, “Mom, brother poked my eye with Captain America!” or “Mom, sister is pinching me!”

I was sort of jokingly saying to my husband yesterday, that there should be a place where parents can go to drop off their kids in a sound proof room (with babysitters of course) and right next to that room is a pillow room. A pillow room that parents can take a lovely nap in complete silence.

Doesn’t that sound ah-mazing?! A mama can dream.

But, I digress…

Now, what to do with those kiddos before they turn into little tornadoes, destroy the house and drive everyone bananas {insert thinking emoji}.

I got your back, Mom and Dad! I compiled a list for you to draw from. Now are you screaming Whoo Hoo?

8 Homeschooling Tips for Busy Parents with Activity Ideas

8 Homeschooling Tips for Busy Parents with Activity Ideas

I’ve been homeschooling preschool since my son showed interest in learning. Heck! I started reading to him when he was in my belly. But, for some reason, the thought of homeschooling kindergarten (coming up for my son and me in the fall) is a little scary.

To be candid, it’s because I’m putting the pressure of a traditional school schedule on myself.

I end up with the question like, “How am I suppose to fit that in our everyday life?” Especially with two other little ones and a dog. That’s going to be so difficult.

But, it doesn’t have to be that way. I can embrace a lifestyle of learning. Where my family can use everyday experiences as learning opportunities. We can learn during the day, at night, on weekends and even holidays!

We can learn math while baking or grocery shopping at farmer’s market. We can learn science while outside or on a trip to the beach. Learning can be plugged into our already busy lives giving my kiddos natural opportunities to grow.

Of course we will use curriculums. Of course we will be meeting our state’s requirements. But, I can release the fear of fitting a classroom setting into our lifestyle.

And that’s the beauty of homeschool.

Star Wars Crafts and Activities to Do with Your Kids

Star Wars Crafts and Activities to Do with Your Kids

I’m so excited about these 15 Star Wars Crafts and Activities to do with my kiddos! They’re perfect for Star Wars Day, a birthday party and pretend play! Have some Star Wars fun too!

We are big ole Star Wars nerds over here. I really didn’t become one until after my son got into it.

I  bought him the 5-Minute Star Wars Stories book and that’s when it all happened. We became Star Wars nerds (which is totally awesome). We have done some force-worthy crafts together. Last year, we made a millennium falcon out of a cereal box and cardboard tube. My son is still playing with it today.

We have made cardboard tube light sabers to have our own Star Wars battle. And just last week, we made a X Wing Fighter.

But, today, I wanted to share some other amazing talented bloggers who have joined the Star Wars Lover Club. These crafts and activities are perfect for May the 4th Be With You (Star Wars Day), a Star Wars birthday party, or for Pretend Play!

Have so much fun doing these Star Wars Crafts and Activities and, “May the force be with you!”
